Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
ICAREngine ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through icarengine.com and our products, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
ICAREngine is the developer and publisher of the ICARUS software synthesizer. You can contact us at admin@icarengine.com.
2. What we collect
- Purchase data. Orders are processed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy. They collect your name, email address, billing country and payment details in order to complete the sale and issue your licence key. We receive your name, email address and order details — never your full payment information.
- Support data. When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include in your message.
- Activation data. Activating a licence may transmit your licence key and basic machine information needed to validate the activation.
- Website data. This website is a static site. It does not set advertising cookies and does not run third-party analytics.
3. How we use your data
- To deliver your purchase, licence key and product updates.
- To respond to support requests.
- To prevent fraud and enforce licence terms.
- To meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting rules.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing email without your consent.
4. Third parties
- Lemon Squeezy — checkout, payments, receipts and licence delivery. See the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — this site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which may log requests including your IP address.
- Hosting — the site is served via Cloudflare Pages, which may process connection data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and secure the site.
5. Data retention
We keep order and support records only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal requirements, then delete or anonymise them.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email admin@icarengine.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
